The Truth Compass

The Son of God .vs. The father of lies

Long ago....

After creating everything in the heavens and everything in the earth, The Lord God made a special creation after His own image: man. He gave the man a name and He called him Adam. And from Adam, using one of Adam's ribs, the Lord God made another special creation to be man's companion: woman. And the woman was given the name Eve. The Lord God greatly loved Adam and Eve and gave them dominion over the earth to steward over it; to be fruitful and multiply; and to walk in His ways and trust and obey Him.

Everything was good...until...that one very sad day...

The day the father of lies known as Satan took on the form of a serpant and entered the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve dwelled.

Whenever Satan attacks, besides murder, he uses a three phase combination: seductive lies that appeal to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. On that sad day...he targeted Eve:

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die."

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. ~Genesis 3:1-6

The Lord God had commanded Adam:

"Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." ~Genesis 2:16-17

Adam was entrusted to ensure that his wife also not eat the fruit either. Sadly, both fell into the temptation.

Satan planted seeds of doubt into Eve to question the Lord's wisdom and command. Those seeds grew rapidly and blossomed into the lust of the flesh ('tree was good for food'), lust of the eyes ('pleasant to the eyes'), and pride of life ("you will be like gods"; 'desirable to make one wise'). All these were lies and unfortunately, Adam and Eve caved in.

The Lord God found out what happened and the sin of what Adam and Eve did led to more sin (anger, accusations, division). The devistating result was man and woman being separated from The Lord God and thus, for men and women, eternal death came forth.

At that moment, one would think "Shoot! Satan won!". Nope! The Lord God had a plan to bring His dear special creations back to Him. The Way to annihilate the separation and atone for men and women's sins for all time: His only begotten Son, God Himself-Lord Jesus.

Many years later....

Lord Jesus took on human flesh conceived by the Holy Spirit (God The Spirit) in a virgin named Mary. Mary gave birth to Him in Bethlehem and it wasn't until He turned around 30 years old when He began His mission.

One day, Lord Jesus came to John The Baptist to be baptized at the Jordan. John (the prophet who was 'to prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight') bore witness of Lord Jesus and declared of Him, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world". John baptized Lord Jesus and saw the Holy Spirit descend from Heaven like a dove and He remained upon Him. God The Father then declared from Heaven about His Son Lord Jesus, "This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased."

Not too long after being baptized, The Holy Spirit led Lord Jesus to the wilderness...where a confrontation that was years in the making was about to take place. Lord Jesus was about to confront the one who had a hand in seducing His special creation that led to them being separated from Him: the father of lies Satan. Like Adam and Eve, Lord Jesus was in human flesh and on top of that He was in the wilderness for 40 days without eating so He was hungry and fatigued. Going off circumstances and odds, it would look like Satan had the big time advantage of winning. Well let's take a look and see how it played out......

********************

The Showdown

********************

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread." -Matthew 4:3

Satan went for his three phase combo speaking a sneaky deception that would appeal to the lust of the flesh. Here he is trying to edge Lord Jesus on to show off and use His power as God to make Himself food to satisfy His physical hunger. Satan was trying to get Lord Jesus to think 'Eh! Why not! It wouldn't hurt this one time to make food for myself." This strategy worked on men and women, but Lord Jesus skillfully countered:

"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." ~Matthew 4:4

What Eve and even Adam forgot years ago, Lord Jesus fired back at Satan. While physical food is important, obeying and living by God's every word is even more important and truly satisfy our spiritual hunger. God's word is our daily bread and Lord Jesus, being the literal Word of God and Bread of Life, is our source of life and sustainance. Nothing that shiny fruit or stoney bread could satisfy.

"Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." ~Matthew 4:5-6

Satan whips out another attack from his three phase combination this time trying to appeal with the pride of life. Here he is nudging Lord Jesus to show off His Son of God authority by charismatically hop off the top of the temple and summon a bunch of angels to grab Him in the nick of time. Not only would such an act be prideful and pointless but it would've made Lord Jesus into a big egotistical showoff.

Lord Jesus, however, fired back at Satan's ludicrous temptation:

"Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." ~Matthew 4:7

Indeed one should not test the Lord. The moment we start saying in our heads regarding something sinful or prideful, 'Oh, if I only do a little bit of that, surely God will be okay with it.', it leads to total disaster and us in danger of falling deep into the pride of life. Or we do a scenario like 'Even though I was warned to wear a helmet and pads when bike riding down this mountain trail, surely I will be fine this one time not putting them on. God will keep me safe.' Not saying He wouldn't, but why test Him!? Why create an unnecessary scenario in order to prove God's power and protection? It's totally prideful. The beautiful thing is the Lord God already has circumstances and scenarios prepared in advance to show His glory even in your life. So you don't need to forcefully make them and test the Lord. He Himself will work it out and all you have to do is simply follow Him and trust Him. And as followers of Christ Jesus, we are not to be big showoffs and charismatic sounding gongs. Instead, we are to live humbly, obeying the Lord God, and walk in His wisdom which isn't prideful or self centered.

"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me." -Matthew 4:8-9

At this point, Lord Jesus is wiping the floor with Satan. Desperate, the tempter pulls out the last attack in his three phase combo: appeal with the lust of the eyes. Now this one here is usually a knock out punch for men and women and it really got Eve and Adam years ago. With the lust of the eyes, men and women end up lusting after each other because of their "looks"; they end up lusting after shiny stuff and excessive luxuries they don't need; and the big one, lust after lots of money to use on selfish ambitions and gluttony.

So right here Satan is trying to tempt Lord Jesus to claim all the kingdoms of the world, all the riches, power, and fame....with the nasty catch of bowing down and worshipping Satan who is the ruler of this world and all it's wickedness.

Lord Jesus, however, being The Lord over all creation delivers a deadly blow to Satan:

"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." ~Matthew 4:10

After Lord Jesus said this, Satan fled.

This right here, what Lord Jesus said, was the core thing that Adam and Eve completely forgot at that moment in the garden. We are NOT to worship or bow down to food, shiny luxuries, power, fortunes, statues, people, mansions, ourselves, Satan, angels, demons, etc. The only One who we are to worship, serve, and bow down to is The Lord God (God The Father, Lord Jesus, and The Holy Spirit) who is the only true God and the Lord of Heaven and Earth. As followers of the Way, we have to be on guard in Christ so we don't get swept away by fancy happy go lucky teachings and doctrines that are self serving, power hungry, and offer worldly luxury/falsely perfect living over eternal life.

So there was the outcome of this epic confrontation: The Son of God, though hungry and fatigued, successfully defeated the father of lies. It was necessary and quite fitting that before fully setting out on His mission to save men and women from their sins, that Lord Jesus confronted and overcome the very individual who had a hand in separating man and woman from Him. He would later go on to triumph over Satan again by dying on the cross for men and women's sins and rising from the dead in 3 days. Thus fulfilling the Lord God's plan: that by believing on Lord Jesus, The Son of God, men and women would be saved from their sins and once again reunited with the Lord God.

Followers of Christ Jesus have this wonderful assurance: that in Lord Jesus, not only do they have life eternal, but are also clothed in His victory. When Satan attacks with his three phase combo, we can remember the triumphant victory that Lord Jesus has over him and then tell him to get lost. No more garden disasters thanks to Lord Jesus!

The End of Condemnation

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." ~Romans 8:1

It's a common theme: the enemy, one of his minions, a false teacher, maybe even a friend, family member, or stranger, comes in and tears you down. Insults are thrown, name calling commences, gossiping occurs, and your entire character and even life gets thrown into the mud. Or you mess up in some way, then the enemy or your mind rip you apart. You've probably heard it before, infamous lines like:

"You're not good enough for God."
"You call yourself a Christian!? Look at what you have done. God is going to punish you."
"Would a true Christian really do that? You have to be perfect like God. Maybe you are not saved after all."
"You keep ending up in the same circumstance over and over again. You have to be doing something that is making God angry at you and not blessing you."
"God hates you. He doesn't love you."
"There's nothing special about you."
"You're not doing enough for God."

In my walk with the Lord Most High, I have witnessed so many individuals who have experienced this including myself. It can be so hard that it leaves you emotionally and sometimes even physically drained. And worst of all, after such spiritual/ mental assault it can even make you intimidated to go before the throne of grace. It makes you feel like you are under condemnation and that Lord Jesus (Yeshua) is going to punish you severely.

Here's reality: you're not condemned.

You, me, and anyone who follows Jesus Christ and believes on Him have passed from death to life; from darkness to light.

Now you're probably saying to yourself, "That's nice and all, but it doesn't change the way I'm feeling. I still feel horrible." Well, here's the thing: our feelings can lie to us and don't always match up with reality. Most importantly, our feelings don't overthrow the word of God. The words of people, Satan, and our mind don't outweigh the words of God. If God The Father testifies that whoever has His Son has eternal life, He means it. Case closed. If Lord Jesus (God The Son) says "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die"(John 11:26), He means it. Case closed. If the Holy Spirit (God The Spirit) has it written, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus,"(Romans 8:1), He means it. Case closed. Done. You can have a million people, a legion of false teachers, and army of demons insult you like no tomorrow but their words are nothing compared to the words of God.

The Lord our God has all authority even over your feelings and the insults of others. He has full authority to crush any lie that tries to bring His children down. The key to fully grasping how encouraging and marvelous this is, one must understand what 'condemnation' really is.

Well, someone might say, "let's look at the fruit. You will know a person by their fruit." Indeed, let's look at the fruit and that will be our compass. Now I'm not talking about if the person has the perfect paying job; has no financial issues; has exquisitely good health; perfect body; amazing credit history; ginormous house; pleasant valley trial free life style; and every other worldly stuff. I'm talking about 'fruit' which is not the stuff of the world. The fruit is:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:" ~Galatians 5:22-23

When someone messes up and does something wrong, are they going to display 'faith' by going to the throne of grace and pour out their heart to Lord Jesus, The Great High Priest? Are they going to show 'faith' in keeping 1 John 1:9 where it is written:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Condemnation isn't messing up or not doing a bunch stuff perfectly. It isn't screwing up and having to go to the Lord for confession. The following is 'condemnation':

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." ~John 3:18-21

You see 'condemnation' is not only doing something wrong but choosing not to go to throne of grace, justify your wrong-doing to great lengths, and even believe that it is good. 'Condemnation' is the belief that evil (darkness) is good and good (light) is evil. When someone is in condemnation, they don't seek the light when they do something wrong...they seek the darkness and to do more sin. Instead of going to The Son of God to receive forgiveness and grace, they chase after more sin found in the world. This includes selfish ambition, sex, getting drunk, greed, witch craft, anger, hate, and all that you can find in the world. Instead of remorse, disgust, or sorrow for what they do, they are well pleased with their actions and say with their mouth and heart, "I did nothing wrong. I'm perfect the way I am. What I did was right and I had every right to do it." In severe cases, the individual, knowing that The Bible and the Lord will call out their sin, rewrites God's word to match their darkness and build temples in their heart dedicated to an antichrist that does not offer forgiveness or repentance but rather acceptance of their darkness and embraces sins.

Those, however, who are in Christ Jesus, not only display the fruit of the Spirit but seek the fruit also. They want to taste and see that the Lord is good; they want to eat the fruit from His tree; when something bad happens or they do something wrong, Lord Jesus is The One they turn to.

By fulfilling the righteous requirement of the law by dying on the cross for our sins and rising from the dead, Christ Jesus freed us from the bondage of loving and desiring darkness. Which is why it is written:

"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit." ~Romans 8:2-5

Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ have this assurance: they too walk in the Son of God's fulfillment of the law and they no longer walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit who dwells in them. So the next time you get verbally insulted or your mind tries to wage war on you, remember that it's all empty baseless insults. Because in Christ Jesus, there is no more loving darkness; there is only loving the Light. The Son of God is the end of condemnation.

The Great High Priest

"14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." -Hebrews 4:14-16

There's a lot of juicy goodness in this part of Hebrews. A lot of comfort, assurance, and security all wrapped together in a nice beautiful present courtesy of Lord Jesus. Let's take a close look at this:

Verse 14- "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession."
Lord Jesus is not only our Lord, our Savior, and our God, but also our Great High Priest. Which means we don't have to run and find some man or woman to go to confess to or ask for help. We can go straight to Him. Not there is anything wrong with confiding in someone like a pastor, elder, friend, or family member. Clearly though the One we go to first when we are faced with a sin issue, temptation, or problem is The Son of God Himself.

And when we come before Him, we don't have to be afraid or question if He will listen, at all times we are to have faith and hold fast our profession. And what is it we profess? The truth: that Jesus is Lord and Messiah, that He is The Son of God, He came in human flesh, He died for our sins on the cross, He rose from the dead in 3 days, and that He is the only way for us to be saved. So all the time we are to hold fast to our profession, for we are not coming before an inanimate object that can not speak or move but the Living God who always listens and will answer patiently.

Verse 15 and 16- "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
It's so cool and comforting to know just how understanding and merciful Lord Jesus really is. No matter what scenario, temptation, or sin issue we are going through, when we come before Lord Jesus, our Great High Priest, and talk to Him about it, He completely understands. He too endured great trials and temptations especially when He was in the wilderness for 40 days and encountered Satan. He experienced all that but without sin and He overcame Satan and all the temptations! So Lord Jesus is not only going to understand what you are going through but will definitely help you overcome it.

And let me tell you by experience: He is an expert. He will not quit on you. He will have you go at it until through Him you triumph over it. And all the while, He will be right there with you. He won't leave you behind.

So we certainly can come boldly before the throne of grace and always seek the help of our King when we are experiencing such problems. We can, of course, come to Him about other things like to say hi, give thanks, praise Him, worship Him, sing to Him, spill out our heart to Him, etc. But it truly is comforting to know, that in the face of trials and temptations, we have a kind yet almighty Great High Priest we can turn to that will understand us and help us be overcomers though Him.

Fellowship: The Lost Outcasts

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." -Hebrews 10:25

To quote Luke Skywalker from Star Wars: "This isn't going to go the way you think."

There have been countless sermons, studies, and even discussions on this very passage from God's word. I think we most of us are in agreement: we should not forsake assembling together as the Body of Christ. Brothers and sisters in Christ should come together (whether in person, zoom, Facebook chat) and fellowship.

Now here's a question: what about individuals who want to keep to Hebrews 10:25, but unfortunately have been casted out of church fellowship because of 'interesting' reasons. I'm not referring to relational status; I'm referring to individuals who have been thrown or pushed out because of materialistic reasons.

I've come across individuals and even read live accounts of people kicked out and not invited to fellowship because: the person is quiet and more slow to speak; the person is homeless; the person has a dark past before knowing the Lord; the person doesn't have a career that makes tons of money; the person's hair is blue or pink; the person has a tattoo that they got years before they came to know Christ Jesus; the person used to struggle with porn and lust but doesn't anymore however is still kicked out because they used to; the person didn't dress 'hip' enough or didn't dress business casual; the person is an introvert; the person is wrongfully accused of something they didn't do and kicked out; the person has a disability that affects their speech; a man whose childhood best friend is a woman; the person's looks and acts, in the group's opinion, 'dorky'; and the list goes on.....

So what to do when you are that outcast mentioned above or similar? How can you keep to Hebrews 10:25 when, well, there's no fellowship in sight and are not welcome? We are going to look right now at the answers. And the King of Kings Himself has the answers:

#1- Forgive

"Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." -Matthew 18:21-22

The first thing to do is not hold a grudge on the group that casted you out. Don't let their wrong doing become an open invitation for Satan to come in and tempt you to be filled with anger. Anger, hate, and grudges will only cause more harm and can even be a hindrance on your relationship with Lord Jesus. So forgive them in truth just as Lord Jesus, our Great High Priest, forgave us of our sins. Even go before the Lord Himself in prayer and pour out your heart to Him: all your hurts and wounds and let Him know that you forgive those in the church group that wronged you.

#2- Keep on lovin' and Pray

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" -Lord Jesus, Matthew 5:43-44

Keep loving everyone even those who have wronged you and casted you out of a fellowship group. Pray for them! Pray for their spiritual walk! And pray that if the Lord will it they soften their hearts and steer on to the path of righteousness.

#3 Ask, Seek, Find

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." -Lord Jesus, Matthew 7:7-8

Go to the Lord in prayer and ask Him that you could meet brothers and sisters that truly show Christ Jesus's love, kindness, and hospitality. Ask Him if you could meet other believers who also have been outcasted like the examples that were listed earlier and become friends.

Be open, prepared, and seek out. You might come across them anywhere: social media like Facebook or MeWe, discussion group's, the mall, at work, a restaurant, and maybe even within another ministry at church or a good non profit organization. You got to be ready because after you ask The Lord, He could have you cross paths with these followers of Him at anytime according to His will.

And when it does happen...be prepared to knock. Stir up conversation, be yourself, and let everything be genuine. You must also make sure to be patient, take things slow, and be tactful. Remember, in the scenario that you meet a believer who has been outcasted, the trust level might be 50% or below.

And lastly, if the Lord will it, and you do find those friendships, invest in them and don't be lazy. Utilize what you can: text, call, messenger, letters, hangouts, do ministry, or zoom meet. At long last, put that Hebrews 10:25 into action and be faithful, loving, kind, and hospitable just as the Son of God is to you and all who follow Him.

The Selfless King

"24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." -1 Corinthians 15:24-28

These particular verses are my favorite part in all of 1 Corinthians. Lord Jesus has all authority and power in heaven and Earth. He is going to victoriously put all His enemies under His feet and even triumphantly destroy Death itself (further details of this can be found in Revelation).

What's really cool is that instead of keeping the Kingdom and authority all to Himself, which is pretty common among kings and leaders, He selflessly delivers it all to God The Father, The Ancient of Days. Lord Jesus doesn't say to Himself 'It's all mine. I deserve it, I worked hard for this, and I'm keeping it.' or 'Why should I hand over everything that worked years for to my father? He had his chance. It's mine now.' NOPE! Lord Jesus in the end doesn't argue, rebuke, or even devise ways to keep the Kingdom. He willfully gives it to God The Father, who is also righteous and just in everything.

In this also shows how One the Lord God is. The Father loves The Son and gave all authority and power into His hands. The Son saves many throughout the years and those who love Him and the Father, He gives unto them eternal life and their souls are safe forever. The Son loves The Father and delivers those who love and follow Him into the hands of The Father and even puts Himself subject under The Father.

A true follower of Christ Jesus has this ultimate security: that not only are their souls safe and secure in Lord Jesus, but The One they follow is NOT a greedy, selfish, and corrupt king. The Lord God is a humble, kind, just, and selfless King.

Lord Jesus: Unshackling The Adulteress

The other day I was talking to my wife about this very incident that is recorded in John. I find it so fascinating because it really speaks volumes about Lord Jesus and who He is:

"1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." -John 8:1-11, KJV

After the crowd left one by one convicted by their own sin, He was the only One left with the woman, who was guilty of adultery. Now the interesting thing about this is, Lord Jesus is technically the only One who could throw a stone at her because He is God The Son, holy, and without sin. What does He do instead? He displays amazing love, kindness, mercy and grace towards the woman and tells her that He will not condemn her. It's extraordinary. Plus after Lord Jesus tells her that He doesn't condemn her, He says to her to go and sin no more. He doesn't say 'go and continue being an adulteress because that is who you are'. He didn't embrace and welcome the sin of adultery but rather He unshackled her of the bonds of that sin. The woman was not adultery, adultery didn't define her, and adultery wasn't apart of her. So He tells her "go, and sin no more" and she was set free that day by Him: from condemnation, death, and adultery. Triple whammy freedom goodness courtesy of Lord Jesus, The Son of God.
